About Strength for Living - Exercise Physiology

Our Staff

Matthew Cordery

Matt has a long history of involvement in sport. In the 1990’s and early 2000’s he was heavily involved in rowing, living at the Australian Institute of Sport and competing in Australian teams. He then took up mountain bike riding and raced in the 24hr world championships. In 2015 he competed in the Australian team at the Karate world championships (Go-Ju Ryu).

Competing internationally in several sports has given Matt an understanding of movement patterns and how to train the body to do what we want it to do. This has led to a move into Exercise Science. This has been driven by seeing people around him age and realising that there is much that could be done to help people we care about maintain their abilities and quality of life.

Kristy Cordery

Kristy and Matt have been married for 30 years. Kristy looks after all the behind the scenes work of Strength for Living. You may see her when you are training or talk to her on the phone. Feel free to chat with her about your appointments and payments.
