Strength For Living Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Strength For Living, your provider of exercise physiology health services. By accessing and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before engaging with us.
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the exercise physiology services provided by Strength For Living (referred to as "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
Services Provided
We provide professional exercise physiology services that are tailored to the needs of our clients, including assessments, treatments, consultations, and follow-up services.
Eligibility
Our services are available to individuals over the age of 18. In the case of certain services, a referral from a medical professional may be required.
Appointments
- Appointment Scheduling
- Appointments can be booked online, via phone, or in person
- You are responsible for confirming your appointment details (date, time etc)
- Appointment Reminders
- Short term or irregular clients will have an appointment reminder sent 2 days (48 hours) prior to your appointment
- Long term regular clients can have an appointment reminder sent on request
- Replying ‘Yes’ will ensure that the appointment is confirmed
- Replying ‘No’ will ensure that the appointment is cancelled
- Appointment Cancelation
- If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee of $50. An invoice or text will be sent requiring payment.
Payment Terms
- Private Clients
- All initial consultations must be paid for in advance either through the Strength for Living Website or the link sent via email.
- Payment for ongoing services must be made at the time of the consultation or as otherwise agreed.
- Strength For Living accepts payment via credit/debit cards, EFTPOS, and direct bank transfer.
- If applicable, private health insurance may cover a portion of the services provided. You are responsible for confirming your insurance eligibility.This can be processed through the Strength For Living or a receipt for services can be emailed to you.
- You may also be eligible for a Medicare rebate if referred by a General Practitioner (GP). The referral must be received by Strength For Living prior to your appointment to ensure that all information is correct and that a rebate can be returned to you after your appointment
- Third Party Funded Clients (NDIS, Workers’ Compensation, or other government programs - DVA, Aged Care Programs)
- Third Party funded clients are required to provide the details of their provider in advance of the initial appointment.
- All invoicing will be sent to the nominated person or third party for payment.
- Fee Structure
- All fees for services are communicated in advance of the appointment and are subject to change.
- A full list of current fees will be provided upon request.
Confidentiality and Privacy
- We are committed to protecting your personal information. All information shared with us will be kept confidential and managed in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.
- We collect personal health information to provide services and comply with regulatory requirements.
- You have the right to access and correct your personal information.
- We will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or to facilitate the provision of services (e.g., with your GP as required by Medicare or insurance provider).
Exercise Physiology Treatment
- Consent
- By engaging our services, you consent to the provision of treatments and interventions by our qualified practitioners. This includes:
- Assessment and treatment, which may involve physical contact as part of the therapy.
- Discussion of your health history, treatment plans, and progress.
- You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. If you have any questions about the treatment, please discuss them with your practitioner.
- Transparency
- Clients should provide accurate and truthful information regarding their medical history, current health concerns, medications, and any other relevant details to ensure that practitioners can provide the best possible care.
- Failure to disclose essential information may affect the treatment provided and could result in suboptimal outcomes.

- Our Staff
- Our staff are qualified professionals, and we expect all interactions to be respectful and conducted in a professional manner.
- Abusive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the immediate termination of services, and in some cases, legal action.

- We ask that all clients treat the Strength For Living staff with courtesy, dignity and respect.
- We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment, and we ask that our clients refrain from discrimination, harassment or inappropriate behaviour.
Liability and Disclaimer
Exercise Physiology Care is recognised as being an effective and safe method of care for many conditions. However you must recognise that there are risks associated with all health care procedures which you should be informed about.
- While we take every care in providing high-quality, evidence-based allied health services, we do not guarantee specific outcomes.
- Our practitioners will exercise all due care, but we cannot be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the provision of services.
- If you have any medical concerns or emergencies, you should seek assistance from a medical professional or contact emergency services immediately.
- By agreeing to these Terms, you release us from any liability resulting from non-compliance with medical advice, failure to attend follow-up appointments, or any unforeseen complications.
Termination of Services
- You may terminate your relationship with us at any time, subject to payment of any outstanding fees.
- We may terminate or suspend services if you breach these Terms, fail to pay for services, or if we determine that services are no longer appropriate for your needs.
Complaints and Disputes
- We aim to provide the highest standard of care. If you have concerns or complaints about the services you have received, please contact us directly so we can address them.
- If the issue cannot be resolved, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Health Care Complaints Commission, your relevant state or territory health department or ESSA, our regulatory body.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect as soon as they are published. We encourage you to review these Terms and Conditions regularly.
